Last year I put together a “bucket list” of venues I wanted to shoot at. Along with many other old, charming locations, The Historic Post Office was on this list. When Mallary and Ryan contacted me about their January wedding, I was so happy to cross this one off. The bridal suite had the most dreamy, soft light and the front steps are perfect for more formal portraits. We walked over to The Virginia Air & Space Center during group photos and the huge glass wall served as a perfect backdrop reflecting the sunset. Inside The Post Office, the tall ceilings and white walls are a photographers dream. Mallary and Ryan partied the night away with family and friends. After dark, we managed to sneak away to take some photos with the holiday lights on Queen Street. The Historic Post Office was everything I could have hoped for and more. I can’t wait work there again.
I’ll be checking a few more venues off my list this year including a winery, a mountain farm and so many more. I’m looking forward to traveling more and photographing weddings at new, beautiful locations.
Hope you enjoy – xo
